Zusammenfassung: | The invention relates to a steel wire rod for a flattened steel wire without a recrystallization annealing process and a production method thereof. The steel wire rod is prepared from the following components in percent by mass: 0.58-0.68% of C, 0.15-0.25% of Si, 0.40-0.60% of Mn, less than or equal to 0.010% of P, less than or equal to 0.010% of S, less than or equal to 0.0040% of N and the balance Fe and inevitable impurities. By producing the steel wire rod for the flattened steel wire without the recrystallization annealing process, the invention provides the dedicated steel wire rod for the flattened steel wire for a wire rod product industry. The steel wire rod has the characteristics of being high in degree of purity of steel and uniform in component and texture, has good plasticityand toughness without the recrystallization annealing process and has obvious social and economical benefits.
