Dishwasher and control method thereof

Disclosed is a dishwasher comprising: a water collecting cavity; a storage cavity; a first port, with one end thereof being communicated with the water collecting cavity, and the other end thereof being communicated with the storage cavity; and a second port with one end thereof being communicated with the storage cavity. A dishwasher control method is further provided. By preparing ozone gas in advance upon completing cleaning and storing ozone gas in a sealed storage cavity, it is only necessary to introduce cleaning solution to the storage cavity through the second port upon starting the dishwasher again, i.e. realizing mixing with pre-stored ozone gas, without preparing ozone gas again, thereby saving the time for preparing ozone gas after the dishwasher is started, shortening entire cleaning time of the dishwasher and improving usage experience of a client.
