The nanometer inorganic-organic coated mica powder contains mica used a core, a nano-metal compound used a middle layer a nano-thickness organic surface modifier as a shell, the mass of nano-oxide is 0.01-2% of the mass of the mica, and the mass of the organic surface modifier is 0.01-2% of the mass of the mica. A preparation method of the powder comprises the following steps: adding the mica into a coating reaction device, carrying out a coating reaction on the mica, used as a basic carrier, and a nanometer inorganic material having a particle size of 20-200 nm, carrying out coating modification on the coated mica and the organic surface modifier, and controlling the thickness of the obtained coating film at 20-200nm in order to obtain the powder.
