Provided is an air conditioner indoor unit comprising a front surface design panel in which a recessed section which is recessed rearward from the front surface and extends in the width direction is formed as a suction port for suctioning air. The front surface design panel includes: a lower panel extending in the width direction below the recessed section; an upper panel extending in the width direction above the recessed section; and a connecting section that connects the back surface of the lower panel and the back surface of the upper panel. The connecting section includes a bottom wall extending rearward from the lower panel and an inner wall extending upward from the bottom wall and connecting to the upper panel.
