The invention provides a radar receiver and a method for receiving a radar signal. Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a radar receiver (300) for real-valued simulation of an RF radar signal (102). The radar receiver comprises: a quadrature mixer circuit (208) configured to generate a complex-valued analog signal (209) comprising an in-phase (I) signal component and a quadrature (Q) signal component from a real-valued analog RF radar signal (102); an analog multiphase filter (312) configured to filter the I-signal component and the Q-signal component of the complex-valued analog signal to generate a filtered I signal component and a filtered Q signal component; and an analog-to-digital converter (318) coupled to the output of the analog multiphase filter.
