The invention discloses a stapler. The stapler has the advantages that the binding position of a staple can be quickly measured, and orderly and attractive binding is facilitated. The stapler is characterized in that graduated scales are marked on the two visible outer side surfaces of a staple groove for containing staples in the stapler; during use, a pressing handle assembly 1 is pressed firstly, so that paper to be bound is pressed between a staple groove assembly 3 and a base support 2; then scale lines 33, scale units 31 and scale values 32 on the two sides of the staple groove are visually watched, the to-be-bound position of the staple and the parallelism between the staple and the paper edges are quickly measured, and then the paper to be bound or stapler is adjusted so as to meetthe binding requirements; finally, the pressing handle assembly 1 is pressed to press the staple out of a staple outlet 34 of the staple groove, and binding is completed on a staple deforming device22; and when a plurality o
