The invention discloses a method and system for augmented reality. The method includes: placing wireless signal transmitter setting information with an identification code on a cloud server; and loading the wireless signal transmitter setting information from the cloud server to an augmented reality content design tool system; providing a wireless signal transmitter control, by the augmented reality content design tool system, to bind the wireless signal transmitter with the augmented reality interactive content; storing the result of the binding as the augmented reality setting information toplace the augmented reality setting information on the cloud server; receiving the augmented reality setting information from the cloud server by a mobile device; and when the mobile device detects the wireless signal transmitter or a real-time live image matching a picture connected to the wireless signal transmitter, performing augmented reality actions by the mobile device according to the augmented reality interactiv
