Zusammenfassung:	A battery housing for a vehicle driven by an electric motor comprises a trough-like housing part (1) and a cover part (18) for closing the housing part (1). The trough-like structure (6) of the housing part (1) is formed by a peripheral wall (10) and a base (5) interconnecting the walls (10). A compartment structure (7), formed by at least one longitudinal strut (8) and at least one transverse strut (9) connected to the longitudinal strut (8) while forming a node, for holding battery modules is inserted in the trough-like structure (6). The compartment structure (7) comprises tolerance-compensating elements (11) for compensating tolerances of the strut (8, 9) and/or of the internal dimensions of the trough-like structure (6). A tolerance-compensating element (11) having a longitudinal strut seat (16) and a transverse strut seat (15) is involved in the node formation between a transverse strut (9) and a longitudinal strut (8).
