The invention discloses a configuration method and system. The method comprises the steps: firstly, acquiring a configuration element which is used for constituting an application program and is written in advance by means of a code for realising a specified function, wherein the configuration element is a reusable finished product or semi-finished product (S101); and then, configuring and generating a corresponding application program according to the configuration element (S102). A code for realising a specified function is independently packaged in advance as a configuration element. On this basis, in the development of an application program, a plurality of configuration elements may be directly invoked to combine and generate an application program, or the configuration elements are invoked and then certain code programming is supplemented so as to generate a corresponding application program.
