The invention provides a vehicle seat capable of improving child seat installability. The vehicle seat (1) is provided with: a gap (40) provided between a seat section (10) and a backrest section (11)on the surface of the vehicle seat; a concave opening (20) that is provided on the surface of the vehicle seat closer to the seat section (10) side than the gap (40) and that has an anchor (30) for fixing the child seat; and a flat plate-shaped cover member (50) that is provided on the surface of the vehicle seat and that is capable of covering and concealing the opening (20). The cover member (50) has a base end portion (60) fixed to the vehicle seat and a front end portion (61) which is not fixed to the vehicle seat and can be freely inserted into the gap (40) between the seat section (10)and the backrest section (11).
