Zusammenfassung: | The invention provides a light rare earth magnesium alloy. The light rare earth magnesium alloy is prepared from the following components in weight percentage: 1.0-3.9 wt% of Sm, 0-1.6 wt% of La and/or Ce, 0.4-1.6 wt% of Zn, 0.3-1.2 wt% of Zr and the balance Mg. According to the light rare earth magnesium alloy, an Mg-Sm-Zn-Zr alloy is modified by utilizing a light rare earth element(s) La/Ce relatively low in electronegativity, and as electronegative difference between La/Ce and Mg is relatively big, a stable Mg12RE(La/Ce) intermetallic compound can be more liable to form; and the alloy strength is further increased through second-phase strengthening. The invention further provides a preparation method for the light rare earth magnesium alloy.
