Anti-rotation device for circular connector

The invention provides an anti-rotation device for a circular connector and an associated method. In an illustrative example, an anti-rotation device (ARD) includes a cylindrical ring extending along a longitudinal axis, the ring including a proximal side and a distal side, the ring may include a proximal coupling member extending from the proximal side, the proximal coupling member insertably engaged with a mating groove within a connector disk. For example, the ring may include a distal coupling member extending from a distal side, the distal coupling member insertably engaged with a mating groove within the body assembly. The coupling member may extend, for example, parallel to the longitudinal axis. For example, an ARD may be captured between the connector disk and the body assembly and may be retained by a proximal twist cap threadably engaged with the body assembly such that relative rotational movement between the connector disk and the body assembly is substantially limited.
