The switched reluctance motor power topology recommendation methodcomprises the steps of creating a topology database for storing motor power topology and corresponding topology parameters; collecting input search parameters; calculating the similarity between the search parameter and a topological parameter of a power topology in a topological database; and screening out the power topology with the maximum similarity between the topology parameters and the search parameters, and outputting the power topology as a recommended power topology. According to user requirements, the most similar existing power topology is automatically recommended to the user. Theuser can determine the type and the approximate structure of the power topology needed by the user according to the recommended power topology, a clear direction is provided for the user during powertopology design. The user
