LIQUID FLOW DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM

A liquid flow distribution system (100) comprises a flow chamber (140) and a rotor (160). The flow chamber ( 140) has a flow chamber inlet (141 ), a flow chamber outlet ( 142) and a chamber flow path(143) extending from the flow chamber inlet (141 ) to the flow chamber outlet (142). The flow chamber path (143) is curved so as to generate a generally vortical flow in liquid passing through the chamber flow path (143). The rotor (160) has a plurality of rotor blades (170, 180, 190) rotatably mounted about a rotor axis (161 ). The rotor (160) is mounted in proximity to the flow chamber outlet (142) and positioned such that a flow of liquid exiting the flow chamber outlet (142) impacts one or more of the rotor blades (170, 180, 190) to rotationally drive the rotor (160).
