The invention provides an optical projection device and an electronic device including the same. The optical projection device comprises a light source for emitting illumination light; a diffractive optical element for receiving the illumination light and diffracting at least a portion of the received illumination light to obtain structured light having a diffraction pattern, wherein the structured light is projected into a projection area of the optical projection device, a portion of the illumination light that passes through the diffractive optical element but is not diffracted is defined as zero-order light, and the structured light emitted by the diffractive optical element is transmitted in different directions with the zero-order light; a detecting element for receiving the zero-order light and detecting the optical power of the zero-order light; and a controller in communication connection to the detecting element and used for adjusting the driving power of the light source according to the optical po
