METHOD FOR CHANGING PRINTING PLATES ON CYLINDER

The invention relates to a method for changing printing plates on a cylinder, comprising the following rotating steps: a first rotation of the cylinder (3) in a first direction (7), in which a first printing plate (5) is detached from a circumferential surface (4) of the cylinder (3); a second rotation of the cylinder (3) in an opposite second direction (8), in which a second printing plate (6), which replaces the first printing plate (5), is mounted on the circumferential surface (4) of the cylinder (3); and comprising the following opening steps: opening the first clamping device (9) and releasing the front edge (5a) of the first printing plate (5); opening the second clamping device (10) and releasing the rear edge (5b) of the first printing plate (5); characterized in that both the first clamping device (9) and the second clamping device (10) are opened before the first rotation of the drum (3).
