The air conditioning system comprises a control device, a first air conditioner outdoor unit arranged out of a buildingby a first height, a second air conditioner outdoor unit arranged out of the building by a second height; when the air conditioning system is operated, the first air conditioner outdoor unit and thesecond air conditioner outdoor unit respectively detect respective refrigerant temperature values in real time and external environment temperature values of the positions thereof; the control deviceis used for comparing temperature difference values between the refrigerant temperature values of the two air conditioner outdoor unit and the external environment temperature values of the positionsthereof; and the air conditioner outdoor unit with the higher temperature difference value is selected to work. Through the technical scheme, the refrigerating efficiency of the air conditioning system can be improved.
