The invention discloses a method for producing 4,4'-diaminobenzyl-2,2'-disulfonic acid, the method comprises the following steps: adding DNS, an iron-copper composite carrier catalyst and a solvent which is methanol or ethanol into an autoclave, and heating for reaction; controlling the pressure in the autoclave to be 2+/-0.2 MPa; after the reaction is finished, cooling to room temperature, filtering, adjusting the pH of filtrate to 2-3, and drying a precipitated solid to obtain the 4,4'-diaminobibenzyl-2,2'-disulfonic acid.
