Zusammenfassung: | A data array is coded. When encoding a stream of a data element array or a data element array, an encoder comprising an encoding circuit is used (32,62) which can work to encode the array of data elements as a plurality of independent segments, wherein, each of the independent segments being independently decodable; generating a header that is output together with a encoded data stream comprisinga plurality of independent segments. (14), wherein the header comprises an encoded data stream indicating each of the plurality of independent segments (20), and the information of the position in theposition. The encoded data stream associated with such a header is to be decoded (20) so that the decoder can read the header to identify the independent segment in the data stream (20), and then reading and decoding the identified segment from the identified location in the data stream.
