Zusammenfassung:	Provided is an aluminum nitride powder having few coarse particles. Also provided is an aluminum nitride powder that makes it possible to obtain a resin composition having high resin affinity and highmoisture resistance. The aluminum nitride powder has a volume-average particle size D50 of 0.5-7.0 um in a particle size distribution as measured by a laser diffraction scattering-type particle sizedistribution meter, a D90/D50 ratio of 1.3-3.5, and a BET specific surface area of 0.4-6.0 m2/g. The aluminum nitride powder is obtained by classifying and removing coarse particles having a particlesize exceeding five times the D90. When a resin paste obtained from this nitride aluminum powder and a resin is measured using a grind gauge, an upper limit particle size at which streaks occur is five times the D90 or less.
