Zusammenfassung: | The invention provides a method for attaching a nut and a collar to a plate material and an attachment structure thereof. The nut and the collar can be firmly mounted on the front surface and the backsurface of the plate material without generating thermal strain. The nut 11 is caulked and fixed to a plate material 10 and a protrusion 19 at an end of the collar 18 is press-fitted into a recessedgroove 16 generated on the opposite surface of the plate material 10 at the time of the caulking fixation, thereby fixing the nut 11 and the collar 18 to both surfaces of the plate material 10, respectively. The plate material 10 is, for example, a metal panel, and the nut 11 is, for example, a pierce nut. Since the collar 18 is caulked and fixed, thermal strain is not generated.
