The invention provides a reclosure method and a reclosure device. The reclosure method includes steps: determining whether a fault line has an instantaneous fault after tripping of a circuit breaker,performing a reclosure operation if yes, and not performing the reclosure operation if not. According to the reclosure method, whether the fault line has the instantaneous fault is determined, the closure operation is not performed for non-instantaneous fault (permanent fault), blind reclosure after tripping of the circuit breaker is avoided, and the reclosure device has the same effect. 本发明提供了一种重合闸方法及重合闸装置，其中，重合闸方法包括：断路器跳闸后，判断故障线路是否遭遇瞬时性故障，若是，进行重合闸操作，若否，不进行重合闸操作。本发明提供的重合闸方法，判断故障线路是否遭遇瞬时性故障，对于非瞬时性故障（永久性故障）不进行合闸操作，避免了断路器跳闸后盲目重合，本发明提供的重合闸装置也具有同样的效果。
