The method comprises the steps of obtaining a motion direction of a tracking target; marking the face of the foremost end of the tracking target along the motion direction as the front face of the tracking target; obtaining the left surface and the right surface of the tracking target at the same time; drawing acircle by taking the tracking target as a circle center and a preset value X1 as a radius to obtain a movable circle; when the movable circle is in contact with the monitoring overlapping range of thenext camera and the current camera, analyzing the advancing direction of the target, and specifically, firstly obtaining the current advancing direction of the tracking target; if the current targetadvancing direction is opposite to the monitoring overlapping range, not performing any action; if the current target advancing direction is opposite to the monitoring overlapping range, entering an image pre-handover process;
