The invention provides a shoot grafting method of Chimonanthus praecox, comprising selecting a ground seedling planted in last year or planted in current year as a rootstock, selecting a lignified twig from the upper half of a Chimonanthus praecox tree in summer in June to July as a scion, and shearing the rootstock 10-15 cm away from the ground before grafting; cutting the scion and the rootstockto obtain cuts having uniform size, fitting the two cuts tightly, and wrapping tightly with a plastic strip. The shoot grafting method is also suitable for variety improvement and top grafting.
