There is provided a drive device configured to impose a more appropriate limitation on driving of a motor. The drive device comprises a motor configured to generate an induced voltage according to a rotation speed, and an inverter configured to drive the motor. Upon satisfaction of a predetermined condition to impose a limitation on driving of the motor, the drive device performs a drive limitation that imposes a larger limitation on driving of the motor when the induced voltage of the motor is higher than an input voltage that is input from a power storage device side to the inverter, compared with a limitation imposed when the induced voltage of the motor is equal to or lower than the input voltage. 本公开提供一种更适当地限制电动机的驱动的驱动装置。驱动装置具备产生与转速对应的感应电压的电动机和对电动机进行驱动的变换器。并且，在用于限制电动机的驱动的预定条件成立时执行如下的驱动限制：在电动机的感应电压大于从蓄电装置侧向变换器输入的输入电压时，与电动机的感应电压为输入电压以下时相比，更大程度地限制电动机的驱动。
