The laboratory centrifuge (1) has an inclination sensor for detectingthe orientation of the longitudinal axis and/or the rotational axis (6) of the centrifuge system (2). The tilt sensor may be a gyroscope sensor held by a housing of a centrifugal system (2), or may beprovided with a magnetic field sensor and a permanent magnet (31) that generates a magnetic field.
