According to the method, the upstream and downstream electrostatic inductionbased dust concentration is detected to obtain upstream and downstream electrostatic induction functions, correlation calculation is carried out on the two functions to obtain a maximal correlation number as well as time delay, namely time that the dust passes the upstream and downstream, and the flow velocity is then calculated then. The electrostatic induction based dust flow detection device realizes the method.
