Zusammenfassung: | The invention belongs to the field of hydrogen production through photocatalytic cracking of water, and particularly relates to a Schottky junction-based CoS2/CdS composite material, a preparation method thereof as well as the application thereof to hydrogen production through photocatalytic cracking of water. According preparation of the catalytic, cobalt nitrate and carbon disulfide serve as rawmaterials, hexadecyl trimethyl ammonium bromide (CTAB) serves as a protective agent, and CoS2 with different weight is loaded on CdS nano-rods (NRs) which are prepared in advance by a simple and convenient hydrothermal method under the conditions of proper reaction temperature and reaction time, so that the CoS2/CdS composite materials with different mass percentage are synthesized.
