The invention relates to a method and a device for diagnosing a differential pressure sensor (2) of a particulate filter (1) of an internal combustion engine, wherein said differential pressure sensor(2) is connected to an exhaust gas system (10) upstream of the particulate filter by means of a first pressure line (3) and to an exhaust gas system (11) downstream of the particulate filter by meansof a second pressure line (4).
