The invention relates to a biodegradable coated paperboard material, and a method for manufacturing a heatproof food container therefrom. The biodegradable coated paperboard material comprises, by mass, 100 parts of polylactic acid, 0.1-5 parts of a crosslinking agent, 0.1-5 parts of an antioxidant and 0.1-5 parts of other additives.
