The method is specifically as follows: taking an object with difference from a system of a target editionas an upgrading object in a system of an original edition before terminal equipment upgrades the system to the target edition from the original edition by adopting differential upgrading, thereby acquiring restoration data of the upgrading object; restoring the system of the terminal equipment by utilizing the restoration data to acquire a restored system of the terminal equipment, wherein the restored system of the terminal equipment is consistent with the system of the original edition; and performing the differential upgrading on the restored system of the terminal equipment, thereby upgrading the restored system to the target edition from the original edition.
