A user uses the virtual reality glasses to automatically adjust the display brightness of the screen via the following steps of detecting the initial blink frequency (namely the blink frequency in normal conditions) of the user, and setting the initial blink frequency to bethe normal blink frequency of the user of the virtual reality glasses; detecting the blink frequency of the user during a using process via a detector on the inner side of the virtual reality glasses; computing a blink frequency difference between the blink frequency during the using process and the normal blink frequency; and adjusting the brightness value when the display screen of virtual reality glasses is displaying according to the blink frequency difference.
