Video conference system

The invention discloses a video conference system, comprising a plurality of pieces of video conference equipment and a signal switching device. The signal switching device is used for receiving conference data sent by a remote terminal through utilization of selected video conference equipment when a fault occurs in the video conference equipment of appointed conference rooms, and sending the conference data to display terminals of the appointed conference rooms in the preset number of conference rooms, so the conference data is transmitted. The preset number is greater than 1. According to the system, any video conference equipment except for the currently employed video conference equipment in the plurality of pieces of video conference equipment can be taken as backup video conferenceequipment, namely, the video conference equipment of the other conference rooms can be taken as the backup video conference equipment, so a utilization rate of the video conference equipment is improved, a set of backup video
