The invention discloses a leveling device and a leveling method for a conveyor belt of a tape casting machine. The device comprises a plurality of L-shaped pressing plates which are arranged at intervals on the two sides of the conveyor belt correspondingly, the L-shaped pressing plates are fixed on the side wall or the bottom of a drying channel of the casting machine through short edges, the long edges of the L-shaped pressing plates are located above the conveyor belt, a gap of 0.8mm to 1.2mm is reserved between the L-shaped pressing plates and the conveyor belt, a round angle is formed between the side face and the bottom faces of the long sides of the L-shaped pressing plates, and the surface roughness of the bottoms of the long edges of the L-shaped pressing plates and the surface roughness of a circular bead is smaller than or equal to 0.8. The height of the edge of the conveyor belt of the casting machine is limited by the pressing plates, so that the area of the whole conveyorbelt is increased; after
