The invention discloses water-soluble polyether amide carboxylate with defoaming and lubrication functions and a method for synthesizing the water-soluble polyether amide carboxylate. The method includes adding appropriate quantities of catalysts into polyether amine and itaconic acid and carrying out amidation reaction; adding special amine into obtained products and carrying out salt forming reaction to obtain the water-soluble polyether amide carboxylate which is a target product. The polyether amine and the itaconic acid are used as raw materials for the water-soluble polyether amide carboxylate.
