The invention provides a lifting appliance allowing a test piece to be automatically and quickly released. The lifting appliance includes: a driving mechanism, an intermediate part, two lever components and a connector, wherein the two lever components are arranged oppositely, the connector is connected with the test piece, the intermediate part is connected with the driving mechanism and used forbeing driven by the driving mechanism to raise one ends of the two lever components so that the other ends of the lever components approach and hold the connector, and to lower one ends of the levercomponents so that the other ends of the lever components leave and release the connector. With the driving mechanism, the intermediate part and the two lever components acting on one another to holdor release the connector connected with the test piece, the lifting appliance allows the test piece to be automatically and quickly released during a fall test; the lifting appliance is highly universal and suitable for most ty
