Zusammenfassung:The invention provides a breeding method of a drought-resistant maize selfing line. The breeding method comprises the steps as follows: 1) selecting a S0 generation group with high self yield, high drought resistance, high combining ability and excellent self agronomic characters as a base material; 2) performing selfing on the S0 generation group to obtain an S1 generation group; 3) planting 1000S1 generation groups or above in a field under the condition of high drought stress, performing selfing pollination in a flowering period, selecting single plants with drought resistance, firm and full clusters and excellent comprehensive characters for next round of line selection under the condition of high drought stress, and performing n generation selfing to obtain an S (n+1) generation group, wherein n is an integer selected from 2 to 6.
