The method comprises the following steps: obtaining the average daily oil production of each month in a target oilfield in a target stage. The curve displacement method is used to fit the average daily oil production, and the fitting initial value, fitting decreasing index and fitting decreasing rate were obtained. According to fitting initial value, fitting decreasing index and fitting decreasing rate, the predicted daily oil production of each month is determined. Theproduction declining rate of the target oilfield in the target stage is determined according to the fitting initial value and the predicted daily oil production.
