The matching layer material is composed of the following components in parts by weight: 50-100 parts ofepoxy resin, 20-90 parts of curing agent, 10-50 parts of light material and 1-10 parts of thixotropic agent. The invention also provides a preparation method for the matching layer material of the ultrasonic sensor used for air coupling. According to the invention, the matching layer is characterized by simple component, simple and convenient operation, low porosity and high material uniformity.In the invention, an oven with positive pressure is adopted for heating; a residual air hole in the prepared matching layer is a closed micro-hole, so that the sensitivity to environment humidity is greatly lowered; and meanwhile, the air-coupling property of sensor and the yield of ultrasonic sensor during production process can be obviously promoted.
