The invention relates to a method and a device for controlling video playing, a readable storage medium and electronic equipment. The method comprises the following steps of acquiring a playing plan starting request input by a user; determining a target playing plan corresponding to the request according to the playing plan starting request; determining all the video sources contained in the target playing plan as a video source to be played; and transmitting the video source to be played to a splicer. Due to the fact that a plurality of video sources can be simultaneously played in the playing plan, the video sources are determined as the video source to be played, and the video source to be played is transmitted to the splicer, the splicer can segment the video source to be played and play the segmented sub-video sources in different display devices respectively, so that the layout mode of the played videos is more flexible.
