The invention relates to a rotary carbonization furnace. The rotary carbonization furnace comprises a converter (1) as well as a feed bin (21) and a discharge bin (22) which are located at two ends ofthe converter (1) respectively, wherein heat energy for drying materials is provided by a heat source for the converter (1), and the converter (1) comprises an outer converter (11) and an inner converter (12) which are arranged coaxially, and the outer converter (11) and the inner converter (12) are driven to rotate by respective drive devices (3); two ends of the outer converter (11) and two ends of the inner converter (12) extend into the feed bin (21) and the discharge bin (22) respectively, and the outer converter (11) is in rotary and sealed connection with the feed bin (21) and the discharge bin (22); the outer converter (11) and the inner converter (12) can be heated by the heat source simultaneously, so that a material carbonization space is formed between the inner wall of the outer converter (11) and th
