The invention discloses a device for adding a coating to a surface of a product. The device comprises a structural support part; the structural support part is provided with a lifting system; the lifting system is provided with a control box; the lifting system is provided with a paint box fixing part; the paint box fixing part is provided with a paint box; the structural support part at the upperside of the paint box is provided with a paint box limiting structure; the structural support part is provided with a product tray fixing and holding part; a product holding tray is arranged in the product tray fixing and holding part; the structural support part is provided with a liquid level height detection system; and the paint box is connected with a paint delivery station. The lifting system is started, and stops when rising to the position of the paint box limiting structure; paint enters the paint box from a paint storage container by a paint delivery pump via a connecting hose; whenthe liquid level height o
