Crane operation duration monitoring system and method

An embodiment of the invention provides a crane operation duration monitoring system and method. A crane comprises an engine to provide power for the crane to travel and perform lifting and a hydraulic pump to drive a superstructure to move. The crane operation duration monitoring system comprises: a detection device to detect pressure of an outlet of a hydraulic pump; a control device to acquirethe pressure of the outlet of the hydraulic pump detected by the detection device, to judge a working mode of the crane according to the pressure of the outlet of the hydraulic pump, and to time the operation duration of the engine when the crane is in a different working mode.
