The invention discloses a treatment process for wastewater produced in the production of mechanical pulp and application thereof. The treatment process comprises the following steps: (1) solid-liquidseparation; (2) primary deep treatment: a, precipitation and b, reprecipitation; (3) secondary deep treatment: c, precipitation, d, anaerobic treatment and e, reprecipitation; and (4) chemical oxidative coagulation treatment.
