Zusammenfassung: | The invention provides a semi-friable alumina abrasive and a preparation method thereof. The semi-friable alumina abrasive comprises, by mass, above 97% of Al2O3, 1.3-2.1% of TiO2, 0.2-0.4% of SiO2, 0.09-0.35% of Fe2O3 and 0.15% or less of ZrO2. The preparation method of the semi-friable alumina abrasive comprises the following steps: smelting raw materials including bauxite in the presence of iron filings and anthracite; and cooling and crushing the obtained smelted mixture to obtain the semi-friable alumina abrasive. The semi-friable alumina abrasive prepared in the invention has the advantages of high durability, high grinding ratio, high processing efficiency, good processing surface quality and excellent grinding effect.
