The preparation method comprises the following steps: calcium-magnesium-aluminum hydrotalcite is prepared by a double-drop co-precipitation method, salting liquid and aqueous alkali are mixed in different proportions, and a mixture is subjected to aging, washing and drying to obtain the calcium-magnesium-aluminum hydrotalcite; the calcium-magnesium-aluminum hydrotalcite is used as a precursor, one of urea, melamine and hexamethylenetetramine is used as a nitrogen source, and is mixed with the calcium-magnesium-aluminum hydrotalcite according to a certain proportion, the mixture is ground, the obtained sample is subjected to calcining under nitrogen atmosphere, and the nitrogen doped hydrotalcite adsorbent is prepared.
