The invention relates to a multifunctional cable identifier, which comprises a shell. A circuit board is arranged in the shell; a test line and a power line are led out from the shell; the circuit board is provided with a main processor, a power conversion unit, a display unit, an extension unit, a carrier wave unit, a waveform generation unit, a coupling unit and an output unit; the coupling unitis connected with the output unit; the waveform generation unit is respectively connected with the main processor and the coupling unit; the carrier wave unit is respectively connected with the mainprocessor and the coupling unit; the power conversion unit is connected with the main processor; the display unit is connected with the main processor; and the extension unit is connected with the main processor. The multifunctional cable identifier in the invention can eliminate electromagnetic interference generated by the own circuit board; the interference of a common high-voltage common-ground common cable trench can
