Improved acrylic liquid applied sound dampers

Novel water-based acrylic coating compositions which provide superior noise suppression are disclosed. Water-based compositions comprised of acrylic polymer, resins, and/or plasticizer, after curing,provide improved vibration damping to solid substrates. Such substrates include the metal surfaces of passenger and commercial vehicles.
