The device comprises vertical hydraulic props arranged along the axis of a roadway symmetrically and a transverse prop which comprises a transverse cylinder, transverse piston rods and pressure yielding mechanisms; the transverse cylinder is arranged on the top of the vertical hydraulic props horizontally, the transverse piston rods are symmetrically arranged at two sides of the transverse cylinder, outer ends of the transverse piston rods are abutted against the roadway sides, and the pressure yielding mechanisms are respectively arranged between the inner ends of the transverse piston rods and the transverse cylinder, and are used for controlling the transverse piston rods to move to the transverse cylinder to achieve pressure yielding according to deformation of the roadway sides.
