An operating region (A), within which the ground working device (1.1, 1.2, 1.3) travels automatically along a traveling path (W), is determined by an edge boundary (2). Atleast one charging station (31) for charging the battery of the ground working device (1.1, 1.2, 1.3) via an electrical energy-transferring charging connection (40) is provided. The charging connection (40) is also configured as a data connection (50) for the transmission of data packets.
